htc app doesn't show live tile anymore

I've upgraded my HTC 8X to wp 8.1 and now the htc app doesn't show time and weather as a live tile. why is it that way?

Have you attempted reinstalling the app?

I have just checked it on my HTC 8S and the live tile doesn't work on mine either.

Yes, I tried to reinstall it and it didn't help.

I have just looked on the Windows Phone store and there are lots of comments stating that the live tile doesn't work with WP8.1.
It looks like we will have to wait until the app is updated.

Search the store for "Clock Hub." It looks the same.

But third party apps can only update live tiles every 30 minutes. Wouldn't that make any clock app not from Microsoft or Verizon or HTC useless?
