Hard Reset with 70% battery, phone shows "low battery" upon restart

Title says it all, and I find it kind of weird. I started the process of doing a hard reset on my 925 because my battery was draining about 1% every 5 mins or so.

​I plugged the phone in (at 70%), started the reset, and then when the phone restarted it was showing the low battery indicator and wont continue with the reset. Has this happened to anyone else? Kinda scary.

Update: did a hard reset with the button combo and it sprang to life. Seriously my battery is so effed. And this 925 is only a month old. Womp womp.

Do you know if the battery isn't charging or if its just reporting wrong? That's not much better but less of a problem until you can get things fixed than a battery that won't hold a charge or drains too fast.
