using 20 MP in Lumia 1520 camera

Hi All,

thanks in advance,

i have lumia 1520 and i wanna use 20 MP in my 1520 camera tried wit diff camera apps. using onshot camera app i can use 19 MP.
But could anyone suggest me an app so i can use whole 20 MP in my 1520 camera.

Sensor have 20 MPix but can use only 19 MPix in 4:3 and 16 MPix in 16:9 aspect ratio. You can't shoot full 20 MPix photo.

In standard mode you're shooting in 5 MPix combined with 16 MPix full res photo that is saving simultaneously. You can of course choose different aspect ratio to get 19 MPix and 5 MPix or to shoot 5 MPix + RAW format.

So how megapixels work is that you have 20,000,000 pixels in a small circle. Yes, circle. That mean's if you're taking a photo, you don't use all of the circle, just a rectangle, meaning some of those pixels aren't getting used and that's just how it is. There isn't a way yet to use them all sadly, or you'd get circular pictures (might be kind of neat though, hmm).

I agree with your explanations. when i am using nokia camera i can use only 16 MP. but when i tried with oneshot i can use 19 MP. thought there might me an app which could help me take shots in 20 mp. hope we get such an app from microsoft.
