Lumia 630 issues

Hi, I bought a Lumia 630 a few weeks ago. Experience is pretty nice, faster, smoother than my old Lumia 520. However I got two problems that quite bugged me.
*First: Battery usage. A battery with a capacity of 1850MAh and usage time shown in Battery Saver is only approx. 13 hrs? If I use the phone less, it can only last around 15~18 hrs. Isn't that too short? Tried both updating and disabling background tasks. I wonder if I bought a fault Lumia 630 :/
*Second: Earphones issues. Lumia 630 doesn't come with earphones, yes, so I decided to use my old Lumia 520's earphones. The phone didn't recognize them and kept playing sound with speaker. What is weird here is that my old earphones is still usable. It worked well on my sister's Android phone. And also, I tried with my even older Nokia 6500s' earphones and it "randomly" worked. However those earphones are ways too old, and I'm a student so purchasing new earphones seems too much for me.
If anyone has any idea, please help. Thank you in advance.

I think your battery is normal, 5 more charge cycles and your battery will be good.

Where did you purchase your device? Atleast you could have performed a hardware test at the store.

Thanks for suggestion, perhaps my battery is okay, I'm just worry because usage looks shorter than specs too much, thought it would last for about 24 hrs or so.. Oh don't mind about it, just being worry though. About hardware test, I tested it but I forgot about testing earphones. Just detected that issue a few weeks after buying it (I rarely use earphones). So if there are no possible solutions, taking my phone to store for warranty will be my last choice.

630 only supports AHJ type headsets.

So that means older Lumia's earphones are a different type? Thanks for your info, seems helpful, I will look it up.
EDIT: Looked it up. Is earphones of Lumia 520 (or any older Lumia) OMTP or something like that? So this is about compablity issues, not a flaw in the phone.
