Yup. Navifirm+ essentially downloads same files as that of Nokia Care Suite(Data Package Manager). So you can download using navifirm and flash using "Product Support Tool" for Care.

Make sure you place all the downloaded files in

"C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products\RM-940"

assuming that you are using Windows 7 or later. RM-940 is for Lumia 1520 AT&T, you have to use your Product Type in place of RM-940.

Sorry my bad, I thought you said Nokia Software Updater for Retail. Yes you just copy the files over into the c:\data\nokia\packages (or approx) and create a new folder called rm-821

AAll flashing voids the warranty I believe. If anything were to go wrong you could always flash it back to the original firmware anyway.

All the recovery tool does is put it back to the most recent commercial release for your phone, which is 8.0GDR3+Black.
