Re: Who here is going to buy Lumia 730

Saw the pics yesterday. Very good looking phone. Especially in white. Will wait untill definite specs, but it looks like an instant buy. If price is right 2 other family members will also be sporting a Lumia 730/735

I will in a heartbeat if it is between $150-250. I've been in the market for a long time. Long time Android user here been looking into WP for a good month, just been waiting on the right hardware. I'm not a flagship phone guy or a bottom barrel phone person. The 730/735 sounds like the phone for me if it's priced competitively with the Moto G 4G/LTE... or else I'll probably just buy one of those and stay with Android for a bit longer.

Depends on the price. I would gladly buy 2 for my parents if around $200-250 off-contract, but for myself I am excited over the Lumia 830.

I strongly considered buying a 730 (or 830) as a replacement for my Lumia 620. But comparing with the 925 for only 230€:
8mp > 6,6 mp, S4 1,5Ghz > S400, Adreno 225 > 305, 4,5" > 4,7" (for me), hardware navigation keys.
Yet, the Lumia 925/920 is 2 years old and battery life on the 730 is probably much better. But still, I'm not sure whether the 730 is really the best option as a replacement or not.

400 is bigger than four. The S400 is faster than the S4 (just joking but it really is) newness is the advantage of the 730. Also, it will be less than ?230.

I'm really considering it. There's enough features better than my 720 to actually make it a worthwhile upgrade. Plus the price tag is lot fairer than some other Lumia devices.

Now that the Full Specs have been released for the Lumia 735, I will definitely be buying this to replace my 630 - for a Mid-Range Smartphone the things that it's being packed with are simply epic; a 720p HD AMOLED Display, built-in Qi Wireless Charging, 1GB RAM...they've finally realised that the Mid-Rangers needed spicing up and I have a sneeky suspicion that the 73x will do better than the 83x (but hopefully both will sell well).

I think it's a great combination of features at the price point. At the very least, it's within shouting distance of the new Moto G, both features/specifications and price point, which is a pretty good place to be, given how well that device has been received.

i think the 730 is a great value at the proposed price point... although one can get a 920/925 for the same money..an those phone trump the 730..

I don't know. I'm contemplating it. Love the bigger ffc, the battery size seems like it'll be sufficient, and I really love how when you activate new windows phones, your messages and everything transfer so easily. I'm just not sure about.....the gigabyte of ram. I have seen a lot of slowing up on my 1020. I need something that's consistent and will last me a full day at work with light use, and so far size and specs wise, the note 4 fits that category well. But this gives me a pause

I have a Lumia 635, but I will buy the 735 whenever it finally makes it to the states in the next few months. I normally keep phones for 2 years, but the 1 gig ram, 4.75 inch screen as opposed to a 4.5 in the Lumia 635, compass, front camera, and a few other features makes the Lumia 735 a "will buy" for me. The Lumia 635 is a nice phone, but the Lumia 735 is definitely a must have upgrade if one can afford it, and I thankfully can. I could definitely see the Lumia 735 as my phone for the next two years, until the Lumia 755 comes around in 2016 or 2017 with 1080P resolution, 2 gigs of ram, and a 10 megapixel selfie camera. ;)
