Well, here it is guys. The 4k vid recording will only be available for a particular mode a la capture mode and only with chipsets supporting SD800(Lumia 1520/930/Icon).

830 will only have 1080p moment capture mode and the stills you extract from it would be of 2mp.

i'm hoping for a Lumia 835 with a Snapdragon 800 eheh
An S610 would make more sense for a lumia 8XX, not to mention that the S800 likely won't remain in production long enough to be worth it for a phone launched in 2015. I think that the S600 wasn't an option for a similar reason, and the 410 would have meant a delay of several months.

****** and speculation?

Yeah you are very smart.
If Moto G can run GT Racing 2 the 830 will also be able to do that.

I know more about PC's that you can imagine.

Thank you for being the first to actually provide something we can see. Too many derp-tards try to speculate based on numbers nowadays and forget how often the on-paper specs misrepresent real world performance.

It's actually slower no matter cores count. The S400 in 830 is Cortex A7 architecture. And has lower frequency. The S4 in 8X GPU is leaps and bounds faster than the S400. Performance wise 830 is a loss.

That's not true. Adreno 305 is faster than 225. And CPU performance of the S400 should be better than the S4. It's not going to be a HUGE advantage, but it should be faster in all areas. Not a downgrade.

That site's benchmark scores are pretty cluttered.

It seems that the Adreno 305 has more cores, but the Adreno 225 has more powerful ones.

But also interesting is the fact that Adreno 225 was built on 45nm, and Adreno 305 on the 28nm, which essentially makes the Adreno 305 run cooler for longer periods of time.
I'll have to reconsider which GPU is better, thanks for the information.
