Let's hope it is RGB. The lack of camera button is enough stupidity for one phone. (I mean, the much cheaper and smaller 520 had camera button, but somehow now it is "too expensive" to put one except in higher-end phones. WTF?)

No reason to worry, the only one using Pentile arrays is Samsung at this point, because they manufacture them. Microsoft has always used RGB AMOLED screens even in the old 820.

RGB OLED produce good colour. But pentile as not good as RGB..beside this it's lifespan is longer than RGB.Blue led lasts only 14000 hrs luckily..I want pentile OLED on my lumia 730.

The lack of Camera button is doing my head in too. It's laughable that they omitted it on a 'Selfie phone'. Anyway The Lumia 925 has pentile and it's very good!

99% of the smartphones sold today don't have a dedicated camera button. Early WP adopters are just going to have to deal with it. Manufacturers would rather save a $1.00 off the button and uniformity in design than include your camera button in 2014. If that's going to stop you from buying a phone, your options are going to be limited.

Well, I dont care about the other 99% of phones. The series x20 series had it they should've done the same for the all new phones as well, instead of limiting it to the upper tier phones. And what does being in 2014 has to do with the a hardware button anyway?

Lumia 800 and 925, yes, but the Lumia 720 has an IPS LCD screen.
We'll just have to wait and see. I expect we'll see the first real reviews in a couple of days.

Wrong. The 720p and above amoleds are all pentile. Lumia 925, 928, and 1020 are all pentile. And I believe the 730 would be as well.

Not necessarily. Moto X had an RGB 720p display... They cost more. Doesn't Nokia source all OLED displays from Samsung? They don't sell their latest displays of their Galaxy line, so the 930 has the previous S4's display. Would be a shame if they went with pentile because the colour reproduction of RGB panels is usually better.

Being the topic starter: I got my Lumia 735 yesterday and I after using it, I have seen no diffirence when compared to the RGB OLED of my Lumia 820. Love it! Thanks everybody for letting me know I should not be worried in the first place.

PS I also have tried other phones with amoled screens before, like 800, 925, 930 and Samsung phones. As far as I can see now, the Lumia 735 has the best pentile screen I've ever seen. Looks like a RGB screen to me if I didn't know that it is a pentile screen.
