Also, to follow up on that point, if the OP is a "glass half full" kind of person, then they could also start trying to convince themselves that the L830 will somehow arrive with different internals than the one which was unveiled at IFA.

Obviously, do so at your own peril.

Be nice if these phones would just show up in stores before being teased and leaked.

Never have understood this when it comes to anything popular.
Guess it's somehow necessary to torture us technophiles with clouded secrecy vs regular consumers with no idea what's coming.

I'd read somewhere that it was supposed to come to AT&T.

What I'd really like is an unlocked version, so I could use it internationally. Not that I travel a lot, but the option would be nice.

Yes, AT&T will get the Lumia 830, though no specific pricing/availability revealed yet.

I really hope the photo AT&T put up is just some sort of mistake... it only shows the metal band around the phone in black, even on the green 830. If they only offer the black 830 and different color back plates I'm going to have a problem with this.

It may very well be, if the past is any indicator. Remember their 925 was the black band variant, as well.

Personally, I was imagining getting the "dark gray" 830 and swapping a green back to it for this same effect. Then they go and do this (or potentially, at least).

They're probably crazy enough to say $99 on contract. As a US customer, I'm committed to purchasing my next phone off contract. Hopefully it makes it here at $349 or better.

These should be sold unlocked/unbranded in Microsoft Stores. These are at a price point that a consumer would be willing to fork that over.
