I am currently an Android user and wanted to use a Lumia 930. Any suggestion for me? I read that the Lumia 930 get hots easily. Is that true? How many hours can the phone last with moderate usage?

With WP 8.1 Update 1 plus Nokia Firmware (Lumia Cyan for Update 1) the phone does not get very hot. At least not hotter than a SGS3, for instance.

Battery... With moderate usage (data turned on, bluetooth always on, GPS off, wi-fi on (when hotspot is available)... I get 2 days (from 7 am to 11pm of the second day).

Same situation, im with iPhone 5s, thinking about change to Lumia 930.
What I need? Battery and all the apps.

Before my 930 I had the 920 which i used for more than 1,5 years. Before these two WP devices I had the original Iphone, 3g and iPhone 4.

Coming from an Iphone you'll have an easier transition to WP than coming from Android.

I would highly recommend that you download on your 930 the app Transfer my data as it will help you easily transfer your contacts, sms and pictures from your iphone.

Thank you Suedezu, I'm sure I won't have any problems transfering my stuff, the thing here is: I love apple, but im a little tired, and I saw a friend with a lumia 625 and I liked it a lot.
I hate android, can't use it.
I used BlackBerry from years, and then iphone 4s 5 and 5s (with an iPad)

If you loved WP on your friends 625 you'll love WP on the high end 930!

I switched from the iPhone for the exact same reasons: iOS seems stale and somehow old to me. I NEVER missed my iPhone or iOs since moving to WP and, trust me when I say, I'm not a WP ******.

I think ill go on. One think please: the 930 is older than the 830, but the 830 was released a few days ago?
Which one is better? Is a little confusing to know which Lumia is better, on apple is 4 4s 5 5s 6 6plus...
Lumia is like: today they release 930, in six months you see 830... there's no sequence...?

There is a sequence. It's just different from Apple's sequence. The Lumia range consists of different tiers, the
5xx
6xx
7xx
8xx
9xx
13xx (a bit out of place apart from its size)
15xx
The 930 has better hardware than the 830 however its not the successor of any of the 8xx series ie. it's an upgraded 920 not 820/830. They belong in different tiers. The successor of the 830 will be the 840 not 940. I hope I made sense.

Go for the 930.

Check out this awesome update coming to all Lumias called Lumia Denim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caNta0c0x_Q

By getting the 930 you'll make the most of the Denim update features.

Expect the Denim update to hit 930s starting the end of this month, depending on your carrier.

Here is the complete changelog regarding the Denim update http://conversations.nokia.com/2014/09/04/lumia-denim-update/

I can highly recommend it. I came from Android too and got a 930, and I'm really very happy. Battery life is good for me, 20-25 hours with no worries, I enjoy the slickness of WP 8.1, camera is lovely, love the look and design. I am happy.

The battery is good. With fairly heavy use and some gaming, it still lasts a full day. As far as apps go, most should be available on Windows Phone. Microsoft has released an app on Android for people wanting to switch to Windows Phone, and it includes an option to see if your favourite programs are available, or possible alternatives. You can find it in the Play Store.
And like the others said, the 830 is newer, but with lower specs. Models starting with a 5 are budget models, 6xx being slightly better, up to 9xx for the flagship model. Numbers higher than 9xx are specialty phones, like the 1020 with its 41mp camera, and the 1320 and 1520 phablets (again, the higher number being better).
