SIM card does not lock into place

This might be normal I just don't know.

My SIM card slides all the way in the slot but it does not lock in place. When I put the battery in, it secures in place however due to the battery pressing it deeper into the slot.

Is this the normal / intended function of the SIM card on the 830?

That sounds like a device fault. I would exchange your device as soon as you can.

At the very least, the phone call about the exchange will answer whether it's a deliberate design choice or a faulty part...

Disregard, I'm a maroon... I just didn't push it far enough into the slot...

All is a-ok now.
