I have no audio files, then whey does my WP8.1 say there are 27?

No audio files but WP8.1 says there are 27

At one point I has 27 music files stored on the SD card in my L735, but have now deleted them.

However, when I open the Music App, it tells me there are still 27 audio files on the device, though it can't play them (of course, as they're not there!)

Is there a way to reset the counter to zero?

For me it seems that sometimes when you add / remove / move / retag audio files directly, then Xbox music takes up to 48 hours to catch up with the change. It's annoying but it does seem to sort itself out eventually.

It's been weeks, not hours...
I wonder if it's to do with me changing the SD card rather than deleting the files...
