So, I recently came back to the fold and purchased the Nokia Lumia 635. The T-Mobile package says that it has a 720P screen resolution. But that isn't true, is it?

The package is wrong. The display is 480p. Well actually more like 854x480. The extra pixels are for the on-screen buttons.

It can record video in 720p, but doesn't display in 720p. Recorded my Sister-in-Laws wedding and burned it to DVD. Turned out better then the "professional" videographer that did the wedding, but that was mostly lack of talent on his part.

Love what you said there. I recorded my brothers wedding last year on the 520 and the quality was stunning. Luckily he's wedding took place outside in September so the sun was shining. I have to say it was DVD quality

Its amazing how a low-mid range budget phone can do so much. My ex had a Samsung S5 and took a pic of me at night in a pub with flash on.... I was over exposed. So I used my 520 expecting grainy dark results.... The pic came out amazing. Not grainy at all.. More like there was a flash on the phone. Through the screen the pic was dark... But the actual pic came out much lighter. Didn't even adjust any settings

I am impressed with this phone. Honestly the screen is so nice that I can't tell it's not 720P. I love how fast and fluid everything is. It's like an upgrade from my old Sony Xperia Z1S that I had. That phone wasn't fast or fluid. And the viewing angle's is definitely better.
