Just picked up an 830

Well I guess you could say I'm a WP junkie having owned a 920, three 1020s, two 1520s, a 930, and now the 830 (*don't ask lol). I needed a device to fill in while I wait for the 1020 successor, which could be some time.

I'm really impressed with the design of the 830 and the screen (even though the PPI is less). Camera is quick and the jpegs are noticeably sharper than the 1020 or 930. Black metal with black design looks great with a nicer form factor than the 930. Overall, MS produced a winner here.

Got it for an amazing price almost new ($220!) and look forward to testing the device further.

Well that was a short run. Phone slipped out of my sweater and I sat on it and crushed the digitizer.

My wife last year got a brand new Ipod touch for herself, well.... she had it after I set it up for her at 6pm, by 6 am she had dropped it on the ground and destroyed the screen. She only used it for a little over an hour lol

Found a brand new Lumia 1020 in yellow for cheap. I'm back! Lol

Also found a guy who can replace the 830's digitizer for about $200. Hmm....

I'm torn. I might just fix the damn thing. Got it for such a great price I would only be paying about $450 total for it even after fixing the screen. What do you guys think ?

Turns out it was the LCD panel. Part sells as one so I'm thinking I'm going to fix it next month. Miss it. And my case came in. Lol
