Why does my Lumia 925 earpiece only work sometimes?

Lumia 925 earpiece not working sometimes

I've been using my 925 for 10 months now. Since pretty recently I had this problem where I cant hear anything from the earpiece when I'm In a call. This happens to all my calls.
I tried a soft reset and nothing happened.
Bt after sometime it started working on its own.
Since then this earpiece has been bugging me. It works perfectly fine on some calls. Bt then out of the blue it stops working.
This keep happening to me all the time.
Need some professional help please. I think its a software problem. Cz when its working i can hear the caller completely fine.

I don't think it's a software problem. Hardware problems are typically intermittent. It's incorrect to assume that just because it works sometimes means it's a software issue.

If it's in warranty get it repaired. You should of did that when you got it.

Just be sure to backup and keep in mind it wipes your phone completely clean. You'll need a PC, USB cable and internet connection.

This happens to my wife's 925, but we thought it was because she dropped in some water. As a work around she uses the speakerphone feature.
