US check on Nokia warranty?

Just hammering around msoft's site and found this page...
Warranty status - Microsoft - USA

I'd be interested to hear from people who bought their phones in the US through Newegg, Amazon, ebay B&H etc what they see after entering the IMEI number into that link page.

mine is a HK version and still under warranty if you go to

Probably not, as you would have to ship it back to Nokia-HK for repairs. That might be an OK thing, but then not sure how Nokia-HK would handle the return shipping considering it will need Customer declarations. Also, the cost of return shipping to the US would be a LOT more than local return-shipping.

My guess is it would only be shipped back to an HK address.

Fingers crossed for you that it never needs repairs. Having said that though, it's a fairly safe bet as Nokia stuff is generally well made and reliable.
