Here is the deal for me: I bought this bad boy after really bad experiences with the HTC Titan and Titan 2- two devices which should have been the standard for WP 7.5 devices instead of killing an entire company to me for 2 years. But, I fell in love with the audio (listening to a podcast as I type this) and the feel of the device. I did have a problem with mine (screen froze and then died) so I did a warranty. So my love/hate relationship with HTC hasn't changed If they support this excellent device I will keep them in the running for a future purchase.
Does my M8 keep running? Did they fix it? If so, good. If not and it has to go back, I am done with HTC.
Does my M8 get W10 within a decent time frame? (Let's call it 4-6 months.) If so, good. If not, I am done with HTC.
Will they send out firmware support for any problems after W10? If so, good. If not.....
Well, we get the point. Love this device. Truly do. But with Samsung promising W10 devices after settling their spat with MS and MS promising a flagship there will be options. So the ball is in HTC's court. I am happy with my M8. If that stays true, maybe that M9 will call really, really loud.....
