I am interested to buy a new phone but in confusion which one to buy..630 or 730🙇🙇 ... Other than price glance screen and camera I don't think 640 has something special....
I need to know whether 730 will get the Lumia camera 5 which is available in 640 ? when available which will be better one pure view 6.7 or 8mp... Without Lumia 5 also which camera will be better I don't know theoreticaly what pureview gives in detail it will be helpful for me

IMO if you are buying a phone today, out of these two 730 is the only option you have ......if you want to wait for another 3-6 months, may be you can wait and see how things go with 640.

I'm sure the 5-inches IPS display is sharper than the 4.7-inches amoled one in Nokia 730. I can easily see pixels there!

After the nokia Microsoft deal the phones comes after that seems to have less quality compared to nokia...535 an example.. I will only buy next month...but the real problem is Nokia 730 production is decreased stock is less or no stock at all in some shops here in India... So not able to take a decision still confusion 🙇 🙇 🙇

There is lack of sub-pixels on the super amoled displays. That's why there is not as clear picture as on IPS ones.

We won't know until somebody reviews the 640. So my advise is to put your wallet back in your pocket and wait a few more weeks - it will not hurt to wait. One advantage of the 640 is that it will have the Sensore Core technology.

If you really, truly can see the subpixel difference, I admire your eyesight. I could tell with my Samsung Focus which was a 480p display, but on a 720p one? I cannot see any difference comparing to RGB layout.

I don't want to be arguing but I pretty easily noticed the pixels on Nokia 730 when I was holding it for a minute a months ago. Especially on small tiles.

Were you using super spectacles? :D

The PenTile subpixel arrangement on my sister's 925 compared to the conventional RGB appears a bit more rough, pixelated, blurry than my 920.
Even on my friend's 1080p Icon do I still notice the effect.
It doesn't wreck the user experience and I probably could live with it, but its still noticeable.

730's display is superb. If adjusted correctly in display settings, it can become very beautiful and my 920's screen looks pretty bland in front of it. I know it's AMOLED vs LCD, but even when compared with other AMOLEDs, 730's display is far better ex. than Galaxy S3. Also the camera holds even against my 920. Only thing where 920 outshines 730 is video recording smoothness and glance screen. Otherwise 730 is clear winner. Lightweight, looks beautiful, gorgeous screen, very good audio quality through speakers. I would take 730 over 640 anyday.

I experienced the exact same problem while testing a Lumia 1020 (same Panel as the 925) instead of my L920. On my 920 i don't notice any pixels on a daily useage, but even after two full weeks with the 1020 the Pentile Matrix ruined it for me. I will go for the 640 because of that!

I'm using Lumia 730 from October & I've ordered a 640 for my dad. I'll have it in few days. I'll give you feedback soon.

The 640 will be about $100 or more less than the 730, no? Seems to me the 640 will be a better deal all around. Although I HATE the glossy back covers, though I guess the black colored back cover is matte finish. I can't figure out why they all aren't matte. Does anyone in the world like the cheap glossy backs on any phones?

PS. No, I don't want a case.
