Stop data download via carrier

Hello,

I am using a pay as you go Lumia 735.

I have noticed a few times now that it has downloaded data from my carrier and charged me for it. (perhaps because of updates.)

Anyway, how do I stop this happening and only allow the phone to download via wifi.

1 Go to settings > Mobile+SIM > disable "data connection".
With this you prevent the use of cellular data. If you do this you do not need to do below.
2 Go to STORE > push the 3 dots ... > tap settings > enable "update over WiFi only.
3 Go to the apps you use and disable the cellular data connection.
4 Use data sense to restrict background data .
5 Go to IE and push the 3 dots ... > settings > set Data Sense Savings.
