Lumia camera doesn't recognize denim

I purchased a used icon yesterday and downloaded Lumia camera. The app said I needed denim and maybe 20 min later I got a notification saying welcome to denim (no loading screen or spinning gears etc). I try Lumia camera again and it says I still need denim. Extras and info says I have denim and resets haven't solved the problem (simple power down and the volume power button combo). Does anyone have any ideas?

I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Lumia camera with no success.

Used? I'd do a complete factory reset and then check for updates to make sure you have denim.

Don't believe Extras + Info - Look deeper into the "About" setting - You should be running OS version 8.10.14219.341 and Firmware version 02540.00019.15024.38022. If not, download the Lumia Software Recovery Tool. It completely wipes your phone and installs the latest OS and FW.

It looks like I'm not running the latest OS or firmware. I'll use the recovery tool, thanks.

All phones I purchase second hand are wiped clean via factory reset and checked at a Verizon brick and mortar store before I buy the device.

Factory reset doesn't completely wipe the phone. LSRT does a complete wipe and an completely new image. Where as a factory reset just wipes data and does more of a refresh than a reinstall.

Hey Guys, thanks for the tip to use the LSRT to fix this issue. I had the same issue as the OP and this fixed things perfectly. I'm so happy to be back on my icon.... took a bit of break while waiting for Denim.
