So I picked up a used RM-820 (same as AT&T's but I guess it's an unlocked/unbranded variant of some sort) off of B&H because my 1520 was too big. I'm on Cricket which uses AT&T's network... does the 920 show LTE as "4G" and the HSPA+ 4G as "H"? Because the cell signal is only showing as 4G instead of LTE and I'm not sure why. I checked under Field Test and all LTE bands are selected (including AT&T's bands, which are 2,4 and 17).

I have an AT&T 920. At&T shows LTE and 4G separately; they are different and only one will appear at a time. I get both in my home depending on which room I call from. I don't recall ever seeing an H. Only LTE, 4G, E or no signal.

HSPA+ would show as H+, HSPA as H and LTE as 4G. B&H sells the unlocked Latin American variant BTW mostly running the Mexico or Brazil ROM

Were you referring to the one sold by B&H? Because I know they sell both the unbranded LTA variant and the unlocked ATT variant too, both RM-820s

If it's an AT&T phone it will show "LTE" when it's actually getting an AT&T LTE signal or it will show "4G" when it's on AT&T HSPA+ bands.
