Battery Saver question

Hello all,

I'm still loving my 830 and glad I made the jump. I do have a question on the Battery Saver app though. On my 520 and my 822 the Battery Saver live tile shows the percentage of battery left. I remember on my 822 all I had to do was make sure battery saver was allowed to run in the background to get it to work. No matter what I do I can't seem to make that happen on my 830. I've tried turning things on an off, rebooting, and soft resets, all to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you looking to make a pinned Live Tile for battery saver show the % battery left on the phone, or are you looking to turn battery saver on?

I'm looking to get the live tile to show the remaining battery percentage. It works on my 520 and my 822. On my 830 it doesn't show the percentage but the battery icon does update.

I've never pinned Battery Saver as a tile on my 920 with 8.1 DP until just now, as I pull down the notification center instead, but pinning just now it shows the same battery percentage number as the one in notification center. The percentage number is shown on both available tile sizes, small and medium. Is your tile showing a number? I thought maybe it would show hours of usage left but nope.

I have battery saver pinned on my 830. I've just installed "the real denim" and the battery saver tile now shows the percentage. Before that there was no percentage on the tile.

I guess that may be the source of my problem. I'm on an AT&T version and don't yet have the "real denim". Both the 520 and 822 have the denim updates. Hopefully we'll see the update soon. Thanks.

That is what I was hoping to see, the remaining percentage. I only get the battery icon. Thanks for the reply.

Well I'm okay with the AT&T version but because I just got mine I was well aware of the update issue. It's not the best case scenario, but it's not a deal breaker for me either. I get why some people are upset though...

My 920 says it has denim, this happened immediately after a hard reset a week ago, but AT&T says denim isn't out yet for the 920. Since I never pinned the tile before I don't know what it was supposed to look like. Oh well. It's nice the tile is working for the OP.

Actually it's not working. The battery icon updates but it doesn't show the percentage. I guess I need the "real denim" update which isn't out for the AT&T 830 yet.

I must have misread a post. Weird. I don't have the real denim, though my screen says denim, and it's working. Well for now the notification pull down shows a matching percentage. Not ideal compared to a told but something.

I don't know what's going on either! Like I said before, it's not a big deal, I just wondered if I was missing something. At least it's working for you.
