Why are my apps stuck at pending when downloading from the Windows phone store?

Apps stuck at "pending" when downloading from windows phone store

Hi everyone.
I have another issue with my new lumia 735 , after updating to windows phone 8.1 denim . When I try to download some apps from store, the status bar reads "pending" and never changes to "downloading" ...
I read in the forums that maybe turning off the automatic update in the date+time section of the settings and reseting the phone would work ... but I am still encountering this issue and it's quite disappointing.
what should I do?

Probably a large file to download. I can't remember the exact max. size, however a file over some preset "max" size will only download when connected to wifi.
The status will show pending until yyou connect to wifi, then it will start downloading.

I have this issue.

I brought the nokia 735 phone yesterday, picked up today and have been connected to the wifi all day.

My phone restored with a lot of original settings but even simple apps such as Here Maps keeps asking me to retry the download (which i have done) and goes back to pending.

I have turned it on and off and done all the simple bits.

It is rather annoying

I got the same problem. App download stuck on pending.
Tried rebooting
Tried changing auto update of date/time
I got WiFi but tried toggling Wifi.
Turned on/off location button on store.
Still stuck. Been that way for a few days.
