Dormant FM capability in 928?

Slashdot had an article today about phones with unactivated FM capability built in, but it didn't list any. MS said there "wasn't enough demand" (hah!). Anyone know if the Lumia 928 has any suppressed FM? I know nothing is obvious and it is one of my big dislikes about this otherwise decent model.

I've read (no direct experience) that some Lumias have apps that will let them receive broadcast FM. Seems 928 doesn't. I can pull a few local FM streams via the web, but that's it.

As I recall from the initial days, Verizon had them disable it - while the "chip" may support it, they did not bother to connect the headphone socket (and thus, the antenna when your headphones are in) to the circuit board.

Highly highly highly unlikely you would ever see functional FM reception on the 928.

Probably sooner see Steve Jobs resurrected, take over the WP division, and lead a charge for the Metro UI against hambooglar menus than that.

My Trophy, 520, and 929 all have functional FM support.
