Transfer my data App - export to SD
I've seen on another site (can't show site name as I've not posted often enough yet) that the Transfer my data App on Lumia phones has the ability to export SMS texts to an SD card on phones like the 830, as it has an SD slot. On my 925 the option is hidden because it has no SD slot.
My questions is...
Can the exported data be imported to another type of Phone such as an Android device?
The reason I ask is that I'm considering getting an 830 as a backup phone, my wife's Galaxy S4 is misbehaving and we're having problems with the carrier (Vodafone) who won't exchange it immediately. I can import her text messages easy enough using bluetooth with the Transfer my data app, but I would need a way to put all her intervening text messages back on to her S4 once it is returned.
I'm hoping she actually likes the 830. Syncing Exchange mail accounts is so much better on a Windows Phone. Not a single sync issue in 2 years on my 925.
