I have a Lumia 640XL. I have never used a stylus before. But with the big screen of this phone, I would like to use it for some handwriting.

Is it possible to use a stylus with Lumia 640xl?
If so, how to choose a stylus? Which over is good?

The best you can do is with a capacitive stylus, which is little more than a finger-mimicker on a stick.

If you're thinking of something like the Samsung Galaxy Note series or the Surface Pro's with their fancy pens, nope, that is not going to happen.

There isn't many apps that would take advantage of a stylus on Windows Phone, so I would assume everything is for fingers.

Are there any current flagship phones that have better stylus support? Or any upcoming flagships that are rumored to?

I never cared about stylus support until I switched from WP to a Galaxy Note 3. I'm looking to switch back as soon as possible (gave Samsung and Android a chance; don't care for them), but I would like to continue to use a stylus.

Windows Phone doesn't have much in the way of stylus support.

So the Note line is the way to go for an active stylus. Hopefully we'll get better support and a phone capable after 10.
