Windows 10 on Lumia 720

There is a long thread for general bugs and defects in Windows 10 section.

A separate one instead specifically for Lumia 720 to post bugs, defects and overall experience etc; since most of the people have installed Windows 10 on a higher range Lumia device (920, 1020 etc).

Installed 10136 yesterday and found below problems

- Extremely slow as compared to Windows Phone 8.1 : Loading screen appears for nearly 20 secs...
- Large tiles (everything zoomed in)
- Inconsistent UI : When any setting is selected, a grey box with outline only appears; whereas if you go down one level, selected (tapped) option is highlighted completely
- Usability problem (maybe my perception) : For eg after selecting background image for home screen, there is no tick (accept) kind of button. Only back button is visible

Overall I found this build quite unstable for 720, I hope MS works on Windows 10 keeping 512MB ram devices in mind.

Has anyone installed Windows 10 and have different experience?

I'm using a L920 not a 720 but my experiences were similar if not worse. I ran back to 8.1 GRD1 and couldnt be happier I did.

W10M TP is not ready for prime time..

its the same here... vey unstable, it a lot of bugs. I need to do a soft reset at least 3 times per day, freezes all the time... But, its only a preview, its not optimized yet for the 512 ram devices. I'm personally reverting to win 8.1.

Have you hard reset the phone first? I hear erasing the phone can solve many issues.

I'm using Nokia Lumia 720 with wp10 TP latest build 10512 & I have no problem at all. Guys if you want to use wp10 TP on your Lumia 720 do as follows: First rollback to 8.1 build 14219.341 and then download windows insider chose fast ring..... Update your phone on latest build. Perhaps its download build 10166 doesn't matter download it and again open windows insider then select fast ring and now you can download latest build 10512.1000. But remember one thing don't backup your phone. Install fresh and clean wp10 TP 10512 for the good experience.
