Nokia N95, Nokia N85, Nokia N8, Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket II, Samsung Galaxy S4 (still have that as my primary phone - I am evaluating the new Nokias and Windows Mobile OS).

I had the 920/1020/830. The AT&T 830 has been really frustrating because it does not (still) have the Lumia Denim Update (Lumia Camera 5). The camera is really lacking in my opinion without this update. I am considering the 640 XL as a hold over until the 940 flagships in the fall. I've got to believe the 640 XL camera is better than the 830 that is without the Lumia Camera. Any feedback on the camera would be really helpful! The 640 XL price point is amazing for what is in this phone. It appears to be really worth it off contract.

Thanks!

I used to be a big fan boy of Siemens, with the M55 as my first color screen phone with clip-on camera. Fast forwarding to beginning of the smartphone age in 2007, I switched to HTC with a HTC Touch with windows mobile 6 and a stylus. After that I was a HTC fan boy owning a HTC HD, HTC Titan (my first WP phone) and HTC 8X. The last one was terrible, so when I studied in the US in spring semester 2014, I got myself a Lumia 520 and 925 cheap from AT&T and T-mobile. When I was back in Europe last year August, sold my 925 and bought a 1320. Amazing phone, but I cracked the screen, and waited for the successor. Since last month, proud owner of a 640 XL.

motorola startech
generic verizon lg flip phone
palm treo 750W (windows CE)
samsung u740 (hated windows CE so much i went back to a dumbphone. but it was a great dumbphone, and i liked the rotated flipphone/qwert keyboard quite a bit)
iphone 3g (oh, smartphones CAN be good)
samsung focus (i like windows phone more then iphone because the calendar icon and weather icon actually do something)
nokia lumia 800 (I realized nokia makes good window phones, and they're actually quite nice-better then my samsung. better then my old iphone. why wasnt this realeased to a larger audience in the US???)
nokia lumia 920 (like the 800, but bigger. and heavier. and wireless charging. oh and an LTE radio)
nokia lumia 925 (like the 920, but on tmobile. and alot thinner. honestly, this is what they should have released instead of the 920)
nokia lumia 1520.3 (like the 925, but bigger, and made completely out of plastic. oh, and built in wireless charging)
nokia lumia 635 (because what does 1/2 gb of ram feel like? actually, not too bad)
nokia lumia 830 (so far, my favorite phone)
lumia 640xl (because an early version of windows 10 killed my 1520, but i'd pick this over the 1520 now. and i'd recommend it over a refurbished 1520.)

I bought the Lumia 640XL for two reasons: To use as an overseas phone and to try a Windows Phone.

I used to use Nokia exclusively, through the M-8. Then 4G came out and Nokia was behind. I switched to Samsung Galaxy and have had S2, S4, Note 3 and my wife has an S-6 right now.

I have been very impressed with the 640XL and will wait until the 940XL comes out to determine what my next phone will be. I am buying into Windows continuum, though and will probably get a Surface Pro 4 when they come out (replacing a Samsung Galaxy) and the 940XL. The larger screen on the Phablet is important to me. If the 940XL isn't available in the US (not through a carrier), I will probably go with the Note 5. The 640XL will go with me when I travel and will get local SIM's for that market. (Mine covers 14 LTE Bands.)
