Built 10149 on Lumia 640xl and Battery drain issue

Hi,

I have just updated my Lumia 640xl to the latest built 10149 released few days back and apart from countless improvements I noticed a problem in that. The battery backup of my phone has decreased more than 3 times. I have moved from Samsung S5 and one of the biggest reason was terrible battery of S5.

Is anyone else is also facing such an issue with Built 10149.....please let me know.

I will not try to convince you that you are unable to deal with your problems, but there are a few things that cause issues within the domain of windows updates. Try either a hard reset now, drain battery till 5%, charge it 100% and check the usage per cent. If you still feel its heavy drain, downgrade to WP8.1 with WPRT 2.1.1 (or newer) and update from there, hard reset after the update, and if it still remains, its in the OS and particularly for your model OR phone.

Im not facing this at all on fact the battery life seems better. im going on my complete second day as I type this without charging it.

With all due respect, you're running development software that's not released yet. Battery drain is not uncommon while they're working out the kinks. You would probably be better off posting this question in Windows 10 forum.

I think it's better to let owners of 640 xl talk about their experiments in testing windows 10 builds in our forum, instead of looking for that in Windows 10 forum.

I have Lumia 640-XL and I dont have battery drain issue.. In fact, the battery seems to last longer than in WP8.1

I bought 640 XL and upgraded to windows 10.
Over night battery is drained to <2% and when i woke up in morning it was switched off.
I have tested it for past 3 days, results are same.

I'm using lumia 720 form past 3.5 year, recently i have updated it to Windows 10 through insider preview yet it is giving me a better backup than 640 XL.

What am i suppose to do, please help me out.
