Just to be clear... This is a fan based news and discussion site. It is in no way run by Microsoft, Lumia or any developer.

I'm not sure... It sounds like you want some software patch or driver creation.

I can suggest you use this tool to clean out any USB drivers named Nokia or Lumia. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html

Then when you connect it should install fresh drivers for your phone.

Was the computer connected to wifi/internet when you connect the phone? It should look for correct driver via windows update. Might take a long time but it will do it.
