I dropped by a Cricket store today just to get a look at a 640 and see if I might get one. I was a bit surprised to see they have lowered all the prices of the Lumia phones, The 640 was 99$, the 635 was 29$ and the 530 was a giveaway at 9.99$. Can't help but wonder if (because of Microsofts announcements) they have decided to get rid of all the Lumia's in a fire sale. This is a little unnerving.

But now I see Wal-Mart with shelves full of AT&T go phone 640 selling them for 79.88$. Looks like Microsoft has risen from the dead.

Could not resist it. Went by the local Cricket store and picked up a 640 on the 35$ a month plan. Thought about the Wal-Mart deal; but I figured while Cricket might not be the best for support it probably was better than Wal-Mart's deal with At&T.

I've been with Cricket for a while, have 3 lines with them, no problems thus far. Thinking of the 640 myself. How do you like it so far?

For the money its the best buy in a smartphone on the market. I have made it my everyday phone and plan on keeping it that way for quite awhile. Worth every penny and then some.
