In Windows 10 Mobile, yes. Just go to Settings -> System -> Display -> Turn off auto brightness. Then you can adjust the slider to any percentage you please.

Nada. Just tried it. It still showed low med and high as brightness settings even thiugh I'm on WP 10

how can they build the operating system which don''t have manual brightness control even when lumia 535 may have the brightest display among lumia lower and mid range phones. display is taking about 70% of the battery usages in my lumia 535 running windows 10 technical/ insider preview.

is there any way to change the brightness ,,, something like root access, custom registry value, etc ???

Yeah. The display issue is so annoying. On Android u can use the screen dimmer app, but I find nothing on windows store.

Why would you look for an app for a core function of the os?

That's because when the OS does not offer function I need, I had to look for alternatives! Android offer a lot of options, but I find nothing about lowering brightness on WP

Try going to settings,extra then display might find what your looking for.

I'll admit it may be different in Windows 10, but I find it hard to believe that there is no brightness setting in W10.
