How do I remove virus/malware from my lumia 1020

For the past week my lumia 1020 has acted VERY odd: battery drain (have to charge it twice a day) it heats up when I'm not using it, Apps open by themselves, tiles on my home screen keep moving around. Every time I open my phone, which is often, a random app has been activated: anything from my calendar to facebook to satnav.
Do I have a virus? if so, how do I remove it?
If I don't have a virus then what is wrong with my phone?

Yes, very unlikely you have a virus, never seen or heard of one on WP.

Nah, the chance it's a virus is almost 0%. With those symptoms in particular it's most definitely not a virus, as they are all issues that can be caused by a defective display with phantom tapping/swiping.

Are you maybe using your device in very humid environments or did it get wet?

Try a soft reset first and thoroughly clean the screen but I'd be surprised if that helped. I suspect you'll have to get the device repaired (or replace the display yourself).
