Windows 10 on Lumia 730 and Windows 8.1 GDR 2 Update

Hello.

I just checked Microsoft India website today and they have not mentioned Lumia 730 in the phones which will upgrade to Windows 10.

Is It Correct ?

Secondly I also saw that windows 8.1 GDR 2 Update is not available for Lumia 730 ? Why is it so.

Is MS disowning Nokia phones.

GDR 2 for the lumia 730 is available, but it depends on your Provider.
And if you look here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-supported-phones then you see that it is of course in the list of phones getting the update

Hi..The link you have send me is of the Windows Insider Preview.
I am talking about Windows 10 upgrades phones, in which 730 is not mentioned, instead it is 735.

Though MS said that all phones with 512 MB RAM will get Upgraded, but not even L 520, 620 , 630 nothing is mentioned.

You are seeing things because you might have the wrong information.
Windows 10 Mobile is not here until later this year, so there is no update list, as there is no Windows 10 Mobile ATM.

What is here is the Insider preview, and there the 730 is listet.
So calm down.

Why 730 is missing from this list?

yes...exactly...and Microsoft said that all lumia ph with 512 mb RAM will get the update...then why this..and this list doesnt covers many of them.

Isn't 735 same as 730? They use same chipset and all, but 730 doesn't support Qi charging & LTE.

Yes indeed both are same except the differences you have pointed out.
So as per you, when Microsoft releases 835, 830 will come implicitly wherever 835 is mentioned in Microsoft newsletters or website.
Also why 730 didn't get GDR 2 update. I'm saying this as I'm a proud owner of 730.
As Fezelle has pointed out reg GDR 2:

that it depends on the provider. But I'm using a unlocked version of 730 in INDIA. I got an update for reboot loop issue but not GDR 2.
My current OS version is 8.10.14234.375 which is not GDR 2.

I need to say one thing that I haven't expected this kind of discrimination from Microsoft with Lumia 730.

Ya you are right...and since they have not launched L 735 in India yet, why they are discriminating.

Hey Do you think Windows Technical preview on L 730 will work fine now ,if we use it as primary phone only..

Does it still have too much Bugs ?

I don't recommend that.
Also I think Abhishek has already answered that in another thread.
I myself is not a big fan of installing half cooked OS's on primary phone.:smile:

All Lumia phones running the denim update will receive Windows 10 eventually. The phones in that list will be among the first to receive it.
