I picked up a 640 to compare it to my 640 XL and both phones lag and stutter when scrolling on websites. I thought Windows was silky smooth? My $29 LG phone is as or even smoother when scrolling. I must say I'm disappointed.

I feel like that is very minor, I have barely noticed it myself, and I am usually scrolling in ebook apps, social media and websites all the time.

Not minor for me at all, especially when the whole Lumia experience is supposed to be lag-free smooth as butter, anti "lagdroid". That's what the Windows users champion.

I've noticed same on the 640 which I tested in store. Scroling in the app list had some serious lag. But, my 735 which have same internals doesn't lag like 640 i tested. Maybe it is cause of display, the way it shows things, refresh rate, IPS vs OLED?

Using Internet Explorer, the lag is noticeable when surfing WIndows Central main page. But its silky smooth when surfing Facebook mobile.
Try a different browser like UC Browser, Maxthon, Opera MIni.
Try unpinning Cortana at the home screen, she is known to cause performance drops when pinned at home screen.

I tried leaving 7 apps in background and went into my apps list, didn't see any lag there.

I'm pretty sure phone at store disn't had any app installed nor Cortana pinned. And still was lagging.
And Windows Central page is bloated with ads and etc, it lags even on my PC.

Tried unpinning her.. no luck. I'll try a different browser when I have more time.

    Thanks
