GIVE ME STRENGTH! How do I add my Twitter/BBC news/etc apps to my start screen

Bought the Lumia 535. So far its ok but annoying.

I cant figure out how to add my Twitter app to my start menu so the tile appears there?

Same problem with BBC news app?

I tried settings and opening the app which is there, then hope to find a pin option there, but no, there is no pin option.... agggghhh

Anyone actually know the answer to resolve it please?

Start screen-->swipe right to open app list-->tap and hold on the app-->choose 'pin to start'

Did you press and hold on the app in the all apps list? It should bring up a context menu allowing you to either pin, rate, share or uninstall.
