Not able to receive or send MMS

I have a brand new Dual SIM Lumia 532, my provider is vodafone and I am in Australia. I am using it with only one sim, in the first slot.
Since I have it, I have never been able to receive or send pictures in text messages (MMS). Everything else (including internet) works just fine.

When I receive an MMS it shows me "Get media content now (xx kb)". Clicking on that changes it to "Getting media content...". After a few seconds, this changes back to the original message, but it doesn't display me anything.

What I have tried so far to fix this issue:
- Turning the Data connection Off and On
- Changing from "use mobile data" to "don't use mobile data" and back
- Removing the SIM, replacing it, and restarting the phone again
- Turning WiFi On and Off
- Turning flight mode On and Off
- Changing the APN for MMS
- various combinations of all the above setting changes, including many phone restarts

I probably have some sort of silly mistake, but fail to see it. I'd appreciate any help on solving this issue, as it's really doing my head in.
