Windows 8.1 Update 2 Only for 830?

I followed the instructions above and updated my 830 to the latest firmware and software. Please excuse me if this does not belong or should be posted above. So my question is this, is the 8.1 update 2 only apply to the Lumia 830? After upgrading my phone, I checked my Wife's phone (1020) and it said it is all up to date. Does the 1020 not get the 8.1 update 2? Kinda bummed for her cause I love the new update on my 830. Thanks again everyone...

This specific update mentioned is for the 830. Not all lumia's will get update 2 due to the work needed. Now the 1020 "SHOULD" get Windows 10, but that is based on the carrier bothering to release it initially (assuming you're on AT&T)

There are "hackish" ways to force Update 2, but who knows if it'll work correctly, or at all, and who knows if the phone would update correctly after that.

My suggestion? let the 1020 be until Windows Phone 10.

None of my 830's received Update 2. One is the NAM Variant, the other LAT Variant. -_-

To force the 8.1 update 2, I understood that there are a couple of requirements. The phone has to have denim and it has to have an SD card. I don't think the 1020 has expandable memory, does it? I'm faced with the same problem on my 925, it's stuck at Cyan, and it doesn't have an SD card slot. So I can't upgrade it to 8.1 update 2.

Here is a guide to get Update 2 installed. I did this on an AT&T Lumia 820 running Cyan firmware without successfully de-branding the phone first. The guide just says the requirements are OS version 8.10.14219 or higher and a phone that takes an SD card. Since the 1020 doesn't have an SD card, I don't know that it can be tricked into getting Update 2.
