12th of Dec release date is interesting - not sure why they are so far out on price though seen as MS UK have the prices on their website.

Don't take the 12th as being totally true. Amazon will often use a placeholder date on items where the actual date isn't know and then change it when they get to know the actual release date.

I think my 1520 can last until then though.

I actually pre-ordered yesterday with that crazy price and today it's down to ?529 but still showing December 12th, hopefully it matches the MS Store release date - I find Prime deliveries are more flexible than the MS expedited option.
