I got a 3D printer for my birthday, so I thought I'd make a car charger out of it. I've had a frankensteined setup for a couple years now (http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-928/234557-2.htm#post2061550), but I've wanted something that is more stable. Here's what I came up with. Total printing time was somewhere around 10 hours, but I think I can reduce that if I have to do it again. I already have a couple small changes in mind should I do so.

It is designed to fit my Icon with the PureGear case.

WOW very nice job....excellent design I must say (i have same case). What does the holder weigh?

Without running out to the car.... Depending on how you slice it of course, I came up with 28.46 meters of 1.75mm filament. At ~330 meters per kg, that's .086 kg, or 86 g, or 3.03 ounces. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but the thing isn't heavy. I only used fill where needed, so there is some voided space in there. It's printed in ABS, because PLA could soften up enough in the car on a hot Georgia summer day to deform.

That was the very first practical thing I printed - not counting all of the "test" and "playing around" prints.
