Stolen Phone

So some of you might have seen my post (I would put a link but I'm still new so just look at my posts) So you might be wondering what that has to do with my stolen phone...well I read somewhere you can track phones using the IMEI number and SIM (But I researched and this is only to be done by a court order or police) Can anyone help me with this or give me any sought of advice? I've tried Microsoft's website, got in contact with a few police and talked to my college dean. I'd be very grateful for any help although I know this seems desperate but I am.

For a normal average person its not going to happen. Report the phone to your network operator & get the IMEI blocked so the phone is then basically useless.
