    Double Tap to wake
Camera placed in Quick Actions (Ditch screen rotation)

    Double tap>Swipe Down>Hit Camera Icon

No need to unlock..almost as fast as a dedicated hardware button
    I'm down to 1.5 second

    Your welcome.

I'm not sure I understand. How do you put the camera in quick actions?

Settings->Notifications + Actions. Just tap one of the icons to change it but if you have a 640, it's probably already there.

That's cool, I thought only android and iPhone had it. Omg ! This was there ages ago in windows 8.1 and now with more quick actions in w10 I guess I don't need to ditch anything to get this awesome feature. Works with even when locked with password. Cool!

That's my favorite part of it all. Makes it really simple to take a quick shot.

Sweet, good tip. Been playing with my 640 for a few days, and this was one of my big concerns. I just wish they would've put the dedicated button on there, can't be that expensive, right? But for $40, I can't complain, lol. I'm sure the Surface Phone will have one...

Yes, for me double tap to wake has about a half second delay on my 640. Power button is faster.

I tried this, and have the double tap delay as well. Now I have been doing:
Power Button > Swipe UP > Hit the full-sized icon that I placed right where my thumb naturally rests.

This way I'm not shifting the phone in my hand, saving time and errors. Maybe if double tap was more accurate, I would be better off, but it's just not consistent for me.
