Problems when trying to restore one 950 XL to another 950 XL

Hi there,

I have an 950 XL up and running. That one has a defect though, so I will send it back. I already got my replacement device - also 950 XL - from Amazon.
On my "old" 950 XL I used the backup option to back all data in OneDrive.

Now, when I boot up my new device and select "restore phone" from the setup wizard, I can only see the backup from my "very old" Lumia 920. The backup from my old 950 XL just isn't listed.

Do I need to connect to OneDrive before that or what goes wrong here? In a previous step of the setup wizard I already log in to my Windows account. I thought that'd be enough...

help plz?

One the old device, run a manual backup and make sure that it hits 100% complete. If the backup didn't complete for some reason, it won't be available for a restore.

And I assume that you're using the same Microsoft Account on both 950XLs?

I did that. It says it's complete, with timestamp and all.

Yes, I do use the same account.

Ok so I followed the link to OneDrive in the backup section. Only my Lumia 920 is listed under "Device backups" there...
Is there any bug known, that windows 10 is saying it backs up and in reality it doesn't??
Or is it stored somewhere else? But that wouldn't make any sense.

I simply skipped the restore dialog now, and restored nothing. I will restore my system and apps settings manually. Let's see if the new phone backs up correctly.
