Is Lumia 950 a world phone ?

Hello people. I wanted to know if the new Lumia 950 is a "world phone". By world phone, we mean it can handle almost all bands, so you can use it in any country, regardless what bands the carriers use.

I've read the specs and it mentions all bands, but I don't know if the phone has them all together, or if there are different versions of the phone which handle different bands.

My carrier uses:

3G: 850 / 1900
4G: LTE Band 4 (AWS).

Will it work?

No worries about the International 950 having your frequencies and plenty more.

I have just chatted with an assistant from the Microsoft Store and he told me the phones are region locked. :S

I never heard of such a thing as "region locked"

When you run setup after first boot you can select Region and Language freely. This has always been the case, no matter what market the phone was manufactured for. You can also change them at any time during use.

I agree with PepperdotNet, I never heard of such a thing. It is certainly not impossible that the person you spoke with needs more training.
