wireless keyboard???

I tried to recently connect a MS wireless BT KB to my L1520 and it doesn't work... I thought for sure this would work with no problems... anyone else try this or any other KB for that matter? and why doesn't it work? btw here is a pic of the KB I tried.

did you select the top-right button to toggle to 'windows' when attempting to pair?

i have one too, works fine on my L1520, L950XL and Surface Pro 3.

Its entirely possible it only supports Windows 10.

yes I did select windows... you mean the KB? or win 10 only supports KB and not 8.1?

hmm I don't think that is the issue... that would be very bad for MS making a KB only work on win 10... besides it works on android and IOS... so why exclude win 7- 8.1? no I think windows phone 8.1 is the problem, just doesn't have the drivers for a KB....

Only Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 can handle Bluetooth keyboards, it was a feature that was not present before.

That update was limited in release. It shipped on the 640 and 640 XL models, and was later released on some 830, 730, 635 models.

However for all intents and purposes I do not think you can upgrade to that.

I would look into using Windows 10 Mobile, which should be able to handle that as well.

I'm too scared to put win 10 on my daily driver.... had too many bad experiences with win10 on my SP3 and I'm reading too much people having trouble with win 10.... when I get my L950XL it will have win 10 :amaze:

my wife is technologically errr not smart. she has windows 10 phone on the 1520 and is fine with it.
