Now that the Lumia 650 has been outed for a possible launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC - 22nd February 2016 to 25th February 2016) next year.

Do you think it will be a MWC or Build launch?

So without further ado, who is getting the Lumia 650!

Chime in below!

For those who are interested in the up coming event in February:

Re: Who is getting the Lumia 650?

I would really want to get it, but I want it to atleast have a mediocre camera. The price in Europe should also be in the 200 boundry (similar of 830).

Lol, why a mediocre?

Why not a decent camera that performs well :winktongue:.

Sad, sad me... It looks like it is targeted as low-end bussiness phone. This means good Design, but really low end specs, which I hoped would be atleast a bit more to the mid-range... I guess that's still a good upgrade from my 520, but now I'm really thinking about 830.. Exclusive renders: the Microsoft Lumia 650 brings metal to the mid-range | Windows Central

Microsoft said that they are focusing two devices per segment: Flagship, Budget and Business.

So if when you put it like this:
Flagship: 950 + 950 XL
Budget: 550 + 650 (presuming the rumor of it using a 210 SOC is true)
Business: ? + ?

It would be interesting to see what they class this device as; especially since windows central's source say it will have a 4xx SOC.

Latest rumor has it using this: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/212

Interestingly enough, it may be the case that both reports are wrong, as we now hear the Lumia 650 will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212. The Quaclomm Snapdragon 212 features a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 CPU with a 1.3 GHz CPU, Adreno 304 GPU, and support for X5 LTE and 1080p Full HD video playback.

The Lumia 650, regardless of whether aimed at Business, should at least be a minor upgrade from the 640 otherwise what's the point of the numbering scheme? I don't want to upgrade to a flagship device and the 550 is too low end. The Lumia 640, for me at least, is the current 'Goldilocks' device but if the CPU in the newer 650 is not an improvement then there wouldn't anywhere to go, at least for some time.

Even Lumia 650 would be more pricier around 225$-235$, it should be an worthy upgrade over Lumia 640; Lumia 650 should have Octa-core 1.4 Ghz Snapdragon 415 processor, 16 GB Rom/ 2 GB Ram, Rear Camera with dual led flash, 5 MP front facing camera with Same unit as Lumia 950/XL, front facing stereo speakers, metallic frames and polycarbonate shell in colours( neon green and cyan).
Look at the Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G E455 with 5" HD IPS LCD display with Gorilla glass 3, Octa-core Snapdragon 415 1.4 Ghz processor, 13 MP rear camera with Dual LED Flash, 5 MP front facing camera, 16 GB internal memory and 2 GB Ram, with 2500 MAH battery, all for around 170$. That should be definitely noticed by Microsoft why Microsoft Lumia don't sell well at low and Mid range, because of their low quality, High pricing scheme with OLD SNAPDRAGON PROCESSORS and actually that not competitive with similar Android smartphones.

Originally, I said no way, but after trying out the 550, I was surprised by some of the little things. It depends on how much it will be, of course, but I might be willing to give it a try.

So true.. MS should give mid range phones 2gb with 4** processors.. And for the affordable flagship range 2-3gb ram with 6** processors

I take back my statement, I probably wouldn't. Someone would have to write about having a GREAT experience all around for me to consider giving it a try.
