Issues with Lumia 950 not downloading apps

We purchased a Lumia 950 for my son (becuase of the Microsoft parental controls) and we are unable to download any apps. It seems to be stuck in "pending" and doesn't progress. My husband works for AT&T mobility, so we are tech-savy for the most part. Has anyone else had this issue? We are currently charging the phone currently to do a factory reset to see if that fixes the issue. If that doesn't work, we are at a loss and considering returning the phone. Please advise!

I had the same issue. on the MSFT insider forum it recommend leaving it on charge with the apps set to auto update over wifi. Mine took about 4-5 hours and I think I gave up and went ahead with the OS update from .01 to .29 after that I had no issues with the apps updating. Just my 2 cents Win 10.1586.1 was buggy and store apps wouldn't update. Hope this helps.
