When going through the leave the program process I get to the last step which is a blank black screen. I've tried re-registering and re-leaving with no progress. On insider .63 ATT dual sim unlocked. Sounds like I'll have to do the hard reset route.

Update: persistence pays off. 5th try did the trick. Firmware update in progress.

So, how can we explain the following:
No firmware updates because of Insider. How come then no 63?
No Insider, ok, no 63, but how come no firmware?

I can confirm what the others has said! you leave the insider and THEN UNINSTALL the app before going to the update.. check and you will see the HW update... no need to restart or anything. I checked the update before uninstalling insider and got no update, as soon as I left and uninstalled the insider app, I went back into update and BOOM update was there! I am now rebooting and hope this doesn't muck up my phone as it was running perfectly! good luck to all

Probably. Opting out of preview on a phone unregisters the Microsoft Account, so if it was used for preview on other phones or a PC, you have to register as an Insider again.

So what are the most up-to-date versions?

OS: .63?
Firmware: 01078.00027.15506.02005?

I saw where one gentleman posted a firmware of: .29. - Is this now the most current?

OS: I think .29 is the latest non-insider build, my 950XL now has .29
Firmware: Mine is 01078.00027.15506.02031, with the .29

I have tried all of the above solutions and still not getting the firmware. I do not know if it is because my OS is stuck on .36 but I am hoping Gabe has some good news today to cure this issue. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Dual Sim 950 XL on insider bought at MS store in NJ if that makes a difference.

Yesterday I was still on Build .29. The night before I checked for “Phone Updates” and received the Firmware update (put me to FW: 01078.00027.15506.02005). After receiving the FW update, I checked the Build number, and it remained at OS Build .29

So I installed Windows Insider (fast track), from the Store, went to “check for Updates” again…and was immediately given access to another update. After a period of time - for the download & install - I was prompted to “restart”. I did, checked again and saw that I had received OS Build .63. I have just opted back out of the Insider. Hopefully I haven’t offended the gremlins.

USA, Dual Sim, Unlocked, Straighttalk (AT&T Network)

Ok, I went into insider application clicked on settings, opted out, confirmed, uninstalled insider program...used WDRT to set my device (USA) to Firmware 15506.02005
OS 10586.13058

restoring my back up now...if this works I will never use the insider app again, the download of the package is brutal on the phone and hardly ever work and you get stuck at 0%, 5%.... WDRT seems much more stable and fast. I get it may be a few builds behind, but I don't trust MSFT to not screw up the builds. I would be more of a guinea pig if the insider app didn't suck so bad at getting updates to the phone and have such horrible user interface as to the progress of what is really going on with the downloads.
