Hello all,

Quick back story:
Back in January 2013 I purchased a Lumia 521 with Brightspot mobile (who turned into T-Mobile). Loved the phone, used it quite a bit, only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have flash on it. So fast-forward a year and I purchased a Blu Neo 4.5 cause it was inexpensive and I could seemlessly switch between phones (Android and Windows). 6 months after that I purchased a Blu Studio C 5.0 HD for the screen, storage, and cpu. It was a great phone, but Blu decided to release new phones instead of updating their current market with newer versions of android, I dislike the fragmentation as it stands. Even the newest phone I thought about getting at the time (Blu Selfie) didn't get anything past 4.4 Kitkat.

Skip ahead to the start of the new year. I ordered a Blu Win HD LTE and went back to my Lumia 521. The Lumia 521 has been a champ at still being quick, playing Spotify, having a charge that lasts well over 1 day (Studio was lasting about 12-15 hours, even if I didn't touch my phone all day, really irritated me).

Here's my questions for you guys:
1) What apps do you guys like/enjoy? Right now I'm using Spotify, Baconit, and really... that's all I really use besides the stock email.
2) Android I couldn't play games on as my batter would jump from 12-15 hours to maybe 7-10 hours if I tried to play a game. Heck even simple games played for an hour would drain my battery to where I could only use my phone 3-4 hours a day. What games do you guys, if any, play?
3) Any accessories you enjoy? I'm considering getting something like a Fitbit or Microsoft Band.
4) Any developers? I do develop apps with C# and Xaml so I've already started on a few projects for my phone.

Thanks, and I'm glad to be back,

Welcome back...

Apps are mostly a preference thing.

For the BLU I would say additional camera Apps are a must. See these threads:

Recommended camera Apps are most often Camera360 Sight (quick shooting and clean interface with nice post shot filters pack) or ProShot (massively impressive settings and customization). Other fun things would include Sketch Camera, Intellicam, Photo Marker, Blink, Hyperlapse, Black, Fantasia Painter, etc... The basic camera on BLU Win HD LTE will need help. Have fun and explore different Apps to make taking pictures and videos a good experience rather than a crap shoot.

Notably missing from the HD LTE is HERE Maps and HERE Drive +. These will install on non-Lumia phones. The problem is that there seems to be a glitch in the store that doesn't allow devices to actually find the Apps via search. See this thread for a workaround:

Other than that, I don't know what to say about Apps specifically for this phone. Use what you like from the 521 or get general recommends. I prefer Amazing Weather HD out of all others. I also pair that with NOAA High def Radar. Since dual SIM WP does not support VVM as a native part of the Phone App, I rely on YouMail on the web + ISeeVM App on the phone to give me great VVM service. In fact I use it on all my Windows Phones and prefer it to carrier VVM or the native WP option.

Bing Rewards App, #1 Toolkit, Battery, SysApp Pusher, Modern Music, MoliPlayer Pro, Audio Stop Free, DirecTV (for setting shows to record when away from home... Gotta have my football); these are all staples of mine that see regular use and function well on any WP device. YMMV

Games? I don't play too many. The ones I tend to come back to often are Uphill Racing, Hungry Shark Evolution, Super Golf Land and lately I've been enjoying Where's My Water.

Accessories? Not too many specific for this device. I use and highly recommend a Tempered Glass screen protector.

Microsoft Band? Heck yeah. Best addition you can make, IMHO. It gives you Glance features + and Sensor Core features and a whole lot more. So you need the Health App (and I love Health Vault too, BTW) along Pimp My Band.

Hopefully that gets you started. Happy App hunting!!!
