My 520 shut down due to battery while on gears (installing updates) what should I do now?

When I now connect it to a charger it displays the nokia logo then the gears then a sad smiley shows up and then it reboots and repeats that process all over again.

Leave it plugged in a few hours to see if it will take some charge.

Remove the back from the 520 and pull the battery out. Plug the phone into the USB port on your computer. Open WDRT. Hold the Volume Down button and insert the battery. When the phone vibrates, let go of Volume Down. Let WDRT flash your phone.
